Huddersfield Open Studio Trail
During HOST:07 over 100 artists from around the region will be offering you an insight into their creative world, 41 of whom will be based at the North Light Gallery.
The gallery will be functioning as one large communal studio space for a large number of artists who are unable to open their studios to the public. Artists featuring at the North Light Gallery include:

Come along to to experience a studio set-up, view the artists and makers work, see the inspiration behind it and a selection of works in progress. A number of artists will be actively working at NLG over the two weekends.
We are also running a fun children's art competition over the HOST weekends on the theme of 'Self Portrait'. Thanks to Calder Graphics, we are able to offer a HUGE 51cm x 61cm stretched canvas worth £12 and a wide variety of materials for a mere £4 entry fee per child.
The art workshops will be supervised by experienced workshop leaders and each piece will be hung in the gallery upon completion to form an exhibition in itself. There are no time limits - stay as long as you like! At the end of the second HOST weekend, the HOST artists will select their favourites and award prizes. All canvases will then be available for collection - making a perfect Christmas present!
We are open for both the Urban and Rural weekends.
